Jordan, US discuss bilateral military co-operation

Jordan’s King Abdullah on Thursday (September 5th) held talks with US Central Command Commander Gen. Kenneth McKenzie and an accompanying delegation on bilateral co-operation in military fields, the Jordan Times reported.

The meeting touched on the regional and international efforts in the war on terror within a holistic strategy.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti also met with McKenzie over the latest international and regional developments, the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported.

The two sides went over military co-operation and co-ordination and means to enhance bilateral relations in a way that serves the best interests of both countries’ armed forces.

McKenzie also attended the 2019 Eager Lion drill, which concluded Thursday.
