Egypt's al-Sisi expresses commitment to Gulf security

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi concluded his visit to Bahrain on Tuesday (May 9th), having reaffirmed Cairo's commitment to the security of Gulf states, Ahram Online reported.

The Bahrain trip was the second stop in a two-nation mini-tour of the Gulf, starting in Kuwait earlier this week, state-run news agency MENA said.

Al-Sisi met with Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa and top officials to discuss the strengthening of bilateral ties and ongoing security issues, and stressed that Egypt's security depends on that of the Gulf.

Egypt has received more than $20 billion in aid from Gulf countries.
