Lebanese President Michel Aoun on Friday (March 31st) stressed the need for improved co-ordination between the security and military apparatuses in order to preserve national security, Lebanese media reported.
Aoun's comments came during a meeting convened to discuss the security situation in the country.
Prime Minister Saad Hariri attended the meeting, along with the ministers of interior, defence, finance, public works, the leaders of the security and military apparatuses, the chairman of the higher customs council and general director of customs.
Discussions focused on security at Rafik Hariri International Airport, with Aoun issuing instructions as for the number of security personnel at the airport and the handling of passengers.
