Dozens of Syrian refugees return home from Lebanon

Dozens of Syrian families returned on Saturday (June 1st) to their hometowns in Syria through several border crossings with Lebanon, Lebanese media reported.

The General Directorate of General Security (GDGS) has helped to facilitate the return process for Syrian nationals who wish to return to their hometowns and villages.

Dozens of Syrian families carrying their luggage arrived at border crossing points between Lebanon and Syria, with several buses crossing into Syria early Saturday morning.

Names of the refugees were checked by the GDGS in the presence of representatives of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
