Egyptian and French naval forces carried out a maritime training exercise on Sunday (March 3rd) in Egyptian waters, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported.
The training is part of efforts to bolster military relations, enhance co-operation, and exchange experiences between the Egyptian armed forces and their French counterparts, military spokesman Tamer al-Refaie said.
The training involved one French and two Egyptian helicopter carriers, a number of frigates, and Egyptian and French missile launchers, he said.
The drill aimed to enhance the combat efficiency of both naval forces to achieve the highest levels of readiness to carry out joint tasks, al-Refaie said.
