Jordan’s King Abdullah on Sunday (December 9th) met with President of Rwanda Paul Kagame to discuss means to enhance bilateral co-operation, including in the economic, investment and trade fields, the Jordan Times reported.
Abdullah and Kagame, who was visiting Jordan for the first time, also discussed efforts to counter terrorism, according to a Royal Court statement.
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi attended the meeting.
Abdullah also met with Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia Mahdi Mohamed Guled to discuss bilateral ties and efforts to fight terrorism.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the Aqaba meetings, a series of international meetings launched by Abdullah in 2015 to bolster security and military co-operation, co-ordination and the exchange of expertise among regional and international partners to counter terrorism.
The latest round of Aqaba meetings was focused on east Africa.
