Egyptian and French naval forces have carried out a maritime training exercise in the northern Mediterranean Sea, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported Tuesday (November 6th).
Training activities included drills to meet the challenges of maritime security, combating terrorism and protecting vital maritime vessels such as ships carrying gas and oil.
The training included the defence and protection of ships with important cargo crossing dangerous areas, and the inspection of suspicious vessels.
In March, the Egyptian and French navies conducted a joint military drill in the Red Sea as part of the ongoing military partnership and co-operation between the two countries.
