Jordan's State Security Court (SSC) on Wednesday (September 12th) sentenced four suspects affiliated with the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) to four to five years in prison with temporary hard labour, The Jordan Times reported.
The rulings were issued in a public session, presided over by military judge Col. Mohammad Afeef, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The court charged the ISIS-affiliated suspects with plotting to perform terrorist attacks.
The court reduced sentences of hanging for two other suspects, to 15 years behind bars with hard labour. The two were charged with attacking a security station in Maan.
The SSC also sentenced several suspects, mainly for affiliation with ISIS, to four to 15 years with hard labour.
