Jordan's State Security Court (SSC) on Monday (September 25th) issued verdicts in cases against 21 defendants, convicting them of attempting to join the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported.
The sentences ranged between 3 to 15 year prison terms with hard labor.
The SSC, in a public hearing, sentenced nine defendants accused of promoting ISIS ideology to three year hard-labor prison terms, in addition to six defendants who received four year terms with hard labour.
