Saudi Arabia on Thursday (May 10th) said it has tested a new siren system for Riyadh and the Eastern Province, the day after the Houthis (Ansarallah) fired three ballistic missiles at the kingdom from Yemen, AFP reported.
Saudi Arabia’s civil defence posted a video of the alarm system being tested, noting in a statement that the system was designed to "face risks of all kinds" and alert the population "in case of emergency".
Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis have in recent months ramped up missile attacks against neighbouring Saudi Arabia, which heads the Arab coalition fighting in support of Yemen’s legitimate government.
