Saudi air defences on Sunday (April 22nd) intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Yemen’s Houthis (Ansarallah) at the kingdom's southern border city of Najran, which set a farm ablaze, AFP reported.
According to Arab coalition spokesman Col. Turki al-Malki, Saudi forces were able to intercept the missile, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
But the shrapnel scattered over residential areas and caused a fire at a farm belonging to a private citizen, without causing any injuries, he said.
The missile was launched from Saada, the Houthis’ stronghold in northern Yemen, the Arab coalition said, noting that another missile crashed in the Saudi desert on Sunday.
The strikes are the latest in a series of Houthi bombardments on Saudi territory.
