Some 600 Syrian refugees are expected to return to their homeland on Saturday (March 31st) from Lebanon's Shebaa region, Lebanon's National News Agency reported Friday.
The first phase of their departure is slated to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday from Shebaa and Arqoub.
The Syrians will head for the villages of Beit Jinn and Mazraat Beit Jinn, located on the eastern side of Jabal el-Sheikh.
The repatriation is being done in co-ordination between Lebanese General Security and concerned Syrian authorities.
Hundreds of Syrians fled to the Shebaa region during battles in the Syrian towns of Beit Jinn and Mazraat Beit Jinn and areas surrounding them, Lebanon’s Naharnet reported.
Saturday's expected repatriation is to take place using buses that will cross the seven kilometres between Shebaa and the Syrian towns, via the Hasbani-Masnaa road.
