Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri said Tuesday (March 20th) there is a serious intention on the part of the international community to help Lebanon, ahead of the Cedre Conference in Paris, Lebanon's Naharnet reported.
"We are heading to the Cedre Conference in Paris with an integrated vision of stability and growth, and to project our vision for the investment programme," al-Hariri said in a speech he delivered at a Business and Financial Economic Forum.
He pointed to "projects worth 3-4 billion dollars that can be implemented in partnership between the public and private sectors".
"Our goal is to secure funding for the first five-year programme," he said. "We have come a long way in financial reforms and expect to complete this achievement in the 2018 budget."
Al-Hariri's remarks come as Lebanon gears for the Cedre Conference aimed at backing investments in Lebanon.
The conference is scheduled to be held on April 6th in Paris.
