Kuwait cabinet resigns after no-confidence vote

Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Monday (October 30th) accepted his government's resignation, AFP reported.

Ministers including Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Sabah, who has headed the government since 2011, will serve in a caretaker government until a new cabinet is appointed, the Kuwit News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Kuwait's cabinet was formed less than a year ago, after snap polls in which the opposition won almost half of the 50-seat house.
