Kuwait's emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al Sabah on Wednesday (November 30th) renamed the outgoing prime minister to form a new cabinet, AFP reported.
Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al Sabah, 73, a senior member of the ruling Al Sabah family, resigned Monday as required by the constitution after Saturday's snap polls.
He should form the cabinet before December 11th, when the new parliament is due to hold its inaugural session.
Under Kuwait's constitution, the emir has the sole power to appoint the premier.
