Jordan’s State Security Court on Tuesday (October 24th) handed down a three-year prison term to two persons found guilty of attempting to join the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) and promote its ideology among people with disability, the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported.
The two convicts, who have hearing impairment, tried to recruit some disabled persons to join the group through a social networking website.
They had been arrested by Jordanian border guards while trying to illegally cross the border into a neighbouring country.
