Twin rockets fired from the outskirts of Yemen's Taez, which is held by the Houthis (Ansarallah), killed nine civilians late Wednesday (January 18th), AFP reported.
A medical source at the city's al-Rawda hospital said seven civilians also were wounded by the rocket fire.
A military source said that the rockets struck in the city's al-Nour district.
Meanwhile, a UN-led action group on Wednesday said the death toll of a cholera outbreak in Yemen has reached 11, out of 180 confirmed cases.
Suspected cases reached 15,658 as of January 11th, it said in a joint report by a health ministry task force, the World Health Organisation, UNICEF and the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
A total of 99 deaths associated with cholera and Acute Watery Diarrhoea (AWD) have been registered, it said, adding that the "epidemic curve shows a declining trend of incidences", due to the response of organisations involved and preventive intervention by Yemeni health authorities and partners.
Health care has deteriorated in Yemen due to the conflict, with UNICEF reporting in December that nearly 2.2 million Yemeni children are acutely malnourished.
More than 7,400 people have been killed in the conflict in Yemen.
