Lebanese army units staged a series of raids in Baalbek, arresting four wanted men in Sharawneh neighbourhood and seizing arms and drugs in Tal Abiad, Lebanon's National News Agency reported Friday (July 8th).
In Tal Abiad, two men attempted to cross an army checkpoint in a vehicle without complying with army warnings, prompting the army to open fire.
The two received minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment before being handed over to the authorizes.
The army seized two Kalashnikov rifles, a pistol, light ammunition, drugs and military items they found in the vehicle.
