Egyptian and French forces are taking part in joint military training exercises in the Mediterranean, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported Wednesday (October 16th).
The drill is designed to boost co-operation between the two countries and "support naval security and stability efforts in the region", the Egyptian army statement said in a statement.
The exercises include swift deployment, taking position in a maritime formation, anti-submarine drills and landing aircraft on ships.
Egypt has carried out military exercises with a number of countries over the past few years to boost military-to-military relationships with armed forces of other countries and exchange experiences with other nations.
