Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday (April 16th) inspected the combat efficiency and preparedness of security forces at Mohamed Naguib military base west of Alexandria, Ahram Online reported.
Accompanied by army officials and groups of students from various Egyptian universities, colleges and military institutes, the president inspected the forces to ensure their readiness and ability to carry out various tasks.
He also inspected the latest combat and technical systems, along with a number of officers representing the main branches of the Armed Forces.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Defence Mohamed Zaki and Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Mohamed Farid also attended the inspection.
Also in attendance was Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II, a number of ministers and governors, media and public figures and military attachés of some countries.
The base, inaugurated in July 2017, is one of the largest in the Middle East and comprises 1,155 buildings and facilities.
