The Hadramaut elite forces at dawn Friday (March 15th) raided a location suspected of having explosives placed in it in the town of al-Shahar in Hadramaut province, local media reported.
The raid came as part of the 2nd Military District forces' efforts to combat terrorism and crack down on extremist cells in Hadramaut.
A unit from the Hadramaut Elite Forces raided the place after it received intelligence on the presence of explosives there, the 2nd Military District Command said.
A bag filled with explosives was found in the operation.
One soldier was killed and three others were lightly wounded, the command added.
A force from the al-Ahqaf Brigade combed the area after the raid and found important information on extremist elements, it said.
