Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Razzaz has stressed the need to build on the strong relations between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported Sunday (September 23rd).
Razzaz stressed the need to build an economic bloc based on integration between the three countries during a meeting with Egyptian Transport Minister Hisham Arafat and Iraqi Transport Minister Kazem Finjan, with their Jordanian counterpart Waleed Masri in attendance.
He also affirmed the need to reduce the cost of transport in the region, pointing to the importance of the Arab Bridge Company's plan to increase truck-based transport to enhance trade exchange between the three countries.
Razzaz also underlined the importance of facilitating truck movement between Jordan and Iraq to increase exports between the two countries.
He praised the idea of establishing a railway project between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, stressing that this project would contribute to the integration between the three countries.
