Jordan’s King Abdullah on Sunday (August 26th) extended his condolences to the family of Corporal Ahmed Zubi, who died of wounds sustained in a terror attack that targeted a Gendarmerie-police patrol, the Jordan Times reported.
Zubi was injured in an August 10th attack that targeted the patrol, which was stationed near the Fuheis Festival, and died 10 days later, on August 20th.
During his visit to the house of condolences in Ramtha’s Thneibeh town, Abdullah offered his sympathy to the family of the fallen officer, according to a Royal Court statement.
Gendarmerie department director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, who accompanied Abdullah, announced Zubi would be posthumously promoted to the rank of corporal, the Jordanian new agency, Petra, reported.
