Ten suspected al-Qaeda elements and two soldiers fighting for Yemen's government have been killed in clashes and an airstrike, AFP reported Sunday (July 22nd).
Officials in Marib loyal to Yemen's internationally recognised government said an airstrike on Sunday targeted a house used by al-Qaeda in the central province, killing four extremists.
Separately, six al-Qaeda elements and two pro-government soldiers were killed in clashes Friday following an attack on an extremist site in Shabwa province, security sources said.
