Saudi Arabia intercepts Houthi missile: Arab coalition

Saudi Arabia on Wednesday (July 18th) intercepted a missile fired from territory in neighbouring Yemen held by the Iran-backed Houthis (Ansarallah), AFP reported.

The ballistic missile was fired from the northern Yemeni province of Saada towards the southern Saudi city of Najran, but no casualties were reported, the Arab coalition said in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency.

The Houthis have ramped up missile attacks against Saudi Arabia in recent months, with Wednesday's attack bringing the tally to 162 Houthi missiles launched since 2015, according to the Arab coalition.
