Saudi Arabia intercepts missile fired by Houthis

Saudi Arabia's air defences on Friday (April 27th) intercepted a missile fired by Yemen’s Houthis (Ansarallah), AFP reported.

The missile, the latest in a series of similar attacks, was heading towards the kingdom's southern coastal city of Jizan, state-run Al-Ekhbariya television said.

Riyadh on Wednesday confirmed it was behind an April 19th airstrike on Sanaa that killed Saleh al-Samad, president of the Houthis' Supreme Political Council.

The Houthis will hold a public funeral for al-Samad in Sanaa on Saturday.

This war will only end with the elimination of Houthi leaders. To reduce the costs of war, vehicles packed with explosives and remotely-operated vehicles must be used to strike the convoys of Houthi leaders and their gatherings. Helicopters can drop these vehicles in Yemen’s desert to target Houthi checkpoints and gatherings. This is an easy, cheap and effective means, like al-Assad’s explosives barrels.
