Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Thursday (December 15th) ordered the renovation of a church hit by a deadly December 11th attack claimed by the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) to be completed before Coptic Christmas on January 7th.
The Armed Forces Engineering Authority will be responsible for executing the project to restore Saint Peter and Saint Paul Church, Egypt's Ahram Online reported.
Authority head Kamel al-Wazir has said the church will be restored to its original condition within 15 days.
At least 25 people were killed and 49 injured in the bombing , which caused severe damage to several parts of the church. Egypt observed three days of mourning after the attack.
