11 bodies found in Yemen's Aden: police

Police in Yemen's port city of Aden said Wednesday (December 14th) that the bodies of 11 people with their throats cut had been found dumped in a nature reserve, AFP reported.

The bodies were found Tuesday in al-Hiswa nature reserve on the city's western outskirts and are believed to have been killed more than a month ago, a security official said.

"The bodies were already decomposing and their throats had been cut," the official said.

Aden is serving as the temporary capital of the Yemeni government as it battles the Houthis (Ansarallah). Extremist rivals al-Qaeda and the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) have taken advantage of the ongoing conflict to stage attacks in the city.
