Jordan official urges media to counter extremist ideology

Jordanian Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday (November 28th) stressed the importance of having Arab media outlets shoulder their responsibility in countering extremism within a clear vision to combat hate speech, the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported.

Speaking during a meeting with several female Saudi journalists participating in the Arab Women Media Conference, Fayez invited all to work together to fight extremist ideology through an Arab strategy based on evidence and logic.

The Saudi journalists commended the role of Jordanian women in politics, economy and social life, stressing the importance of establishing a network between Jordanian and Saudi journalists to boost women’s role in all fields.
