Three suspected members of al-Qaeda were killed in a Tuesday (August 30th) airstrike, AFP reported.
The strike hit a vehicle carrying the three suspects in the eastern suburbs of the Shabwa provincial capital of Ataq, a security official said.
Two of the suspects who were injured in the attack later succumbed to their wounds, a tribal source said, raising an earlier toll of one killed.
Last Wednesday, airstrikes killed seven al-Qaeda suspects in south and east Yemen.
