An Al-Qaeda suicide bomber killed four Yemeni soldiers in a Thursday (August 18th) attack in Abyan province, AFP reported.
The attacker rammed his car into two military vehicles parked on a road linking the towns of Loder and Moudia in Abyan, a military official said.
Four soldiers were killed and others were wounded, he said.
Military sources said the bombing was a retaliation attack by al-Qaeda after Yemeni troops recaptured parts of Abyan, including Zinjibar, the provincial capital.
Yemeni forces, backed by coalition air power, launched the offensive to retake Abyan on Sunday.
