Gunmen killed three Egyptian policemen and a civilian in Sinai on Wednesday (September 28th), AFP reported.
The gunmen in a car intercepted a taxi carrying the policemen in the North Sinai provincial capital of al-Arish and killed them along with the driver, the interior ministry said in a statement.
Egypt is conducting an ongoing military operation in Sinai to crack down on extremists affiliated with the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) who have killed hundreds of soldiers and policemen in the peninsula.
