An Arab Women Organisation’s (AWO) training programme on leadership and political participation commenced on Monday (November 26th) in Amman with the participation of Arab women leaders, The Jordan Times reported.
The programme, implemented in co-operation with UN Women, aims to develop Arab women’s skills to facilitate their political participation and enhance their presence in decision-making processes, the Jordanian News Agency, Petra, reported.
Lana Mamkegh, member of the AWO executive council, highlighted the importance of preparing Arab women leaders to effectively participate in the political sphere.
