A Cairo criminal court placed on Wednesday (March 7th) 319 defendants who are members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) affiliate Ansar Beit al-Maqdis on the country's terror list, Egypt's Ahram Online reported.
The defendants are charged in a 2017 case with adopting the ideology of ISIS, carrying out terrorist attacks, as well as accusing members of the Armed Forces, police and Christians of being infidels as a justification for killing them.
The court also removed 14 people from the terror list in a 2014 terrorism-related case.
