10 extremists killed in Egypt’s Sinai campaign

Egypt's military said Sunday (March 4th) that 10 extremists had been killed in a military operation in Sinai against the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), AFP reported.

Four soldiers also were killed in the battles, the military said, raising military casualties to at least 16, along with more than 100 extremists, since the start of the operation on February 9th.

The army launched the campaign after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi gave them a three-month deadline to crush ISIS in Sinai.
