Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said Friday (November 17th) that there will be no stability in Lebanon unless Iran-backed Hizbullah disarms, Lebanon’s Naharnet reported.
"This is what we hope," Adel al-Jubeir said at a press conference in Madrid with his Spanish counterpart.
On Thursday, al-Jubeir called Hizbullah a "first-class terrorist organisation" that should lay down its arms and respect Lebanon's sovereignty.
Earlier this month, he accused Hizbullah of involvement in the firing of a ballistic missile from Yemen at the Saudi capital Riyadh. Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah dismissed the claims.
