A high-level Saudi official has visited the Syrian city of al-Raqa, which was recently liberated from the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), in order to co-ordinate reconstruction efforts, Saudi newspaper Okaz reported Thursday (October 19th).
Thamer al-Sabhan, minister of state for Arab affairs, met on Tuesday with members of the al-Raqa Civil Council in Ain Issa to discuss Saudi Arabia's role in the upcoming reconstruction of al-Raqa.
The UAE will also play a role in rebuilding the city, Okaz said.
