The Lebanese army is preparing to redeploy some military units that took part in Operation Fajr al-Juroud (Al-Juroud Dawn) to the vicinity of Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp, Naharnet reported Sunday (September 17th).
Any decision to act against extremist groups present in the camp "requires co-ordination and co-operation with the Palestinian factions, but we are always ready for any confrontation and we will immediately tackle any suspicious move", military sources told Saudi daily Asharq al-Awsat.
The report follows an army announcement revealing the arrest of a cell led by Egyptian "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) fighter Fadi Ibrahim Ahmed, also known as "Abu Khattab", who is hiding in Ain al-Hilweh.
