Egypt and Saudi Arabia to hold joint military drill

The Saudi Royal Air Force will hold joint military exercises with the Egyptian Air Force in Egypt at the end of next week, the Saudi Press Agency reported Tuesday (September 12th).

The "Faisal 11" manoeuvers are part of the annual training plan which aims at strengthening co-operation and relations between the two air forces, acquiring technical expertise, and developing combat skills through joint operations.

The exercises are the 11th in a series of joint military drills between the two countries that began in 2000.

In July 2015, Egypt and Saudi Arabia signed a pact aimed at boosting military and economic ties between the two countries, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported.
