Eight al-Qaeda elements were killed in Yemen on Friday (March 3rd) in a second day of airstrikes targeting the group, AFP reported.

More than 20 strikes were carried out on Thursday targeting al-Qaeda positions in the southern provinces of Shabwa and Abyan and the central province of Baida.

Yemeni officials said at least 12 suspected militants were killed in those strikes.

Friday's strikes hit three houses in the Yashbam Valley before dawn, one of them the home of al-Qaeda's Shabwa province commander, Saad Atef, tribal sources said.

Security officials in the area said eight extremists were killed in the raids.

Extremist elements retaliated with anti-aircraft fire, security officials and tribal sources said.

Al-Qaeda has killed thousands of citizens. Most of the dead are from the Arab south. The family of ousted Affash Sanhan, his aides, the pro-Iran al-Houthi family and their aides, are using their residences, satellites, and newspapers in capital Sanaa to express their anger and rejection of the US air strikes against al-Qaeda in Yemen. The real reason is that the Affash family and al-Houthi family are using al-Qaeda to carry out terrorist operations against the residents and the Yemeni legitimate forces in the areas from which they have fled.

What is required of the ousted Ali Abdullah Saleh Affash Sanhan, his sons, nephews, cousins and top aides is to return the hundreds of billions which they had looted. They have caused the impoverishment of 19 million Yemenis. After that, they have to leave Yemen for good. For years now, the gunmen of al-Qaeda gangs and of the gangs of the ousted Affash Sanhan and of the pro-Iran al-Houthi family have been sharing areas and influence in northern and the Arab south. They’re forming a big gang and are threatening northern Yemen, the Arab south, neighbouring countries and international waterways with the big arms and money support from Iran.

And finally, the United States of America has realised the role of the ousted old man Sanhan Affash and the terrorist groups in Yemen. There is noticeable collapse of the gunmen of the big gang led by the old man of Sanhan and the boy of Iran. The gang’s role is to threaten Yemen, its coasts and neighbouring countries. The big gang consists of some traitors from the Arab south, al-Qaeda and ISIL, as well as the founder of the gangs of ousted Sanhan Affash and the pro-Iran al-Houthi mercenaries.
