Egypt launches awareness campaign on human trafficking

Egypt's National Co-ordinating Committee on Preventing and Combating Illegal Migration (NCCPIM) on Tuesday (May 14th) launched a national awareness campaign on human trafficking, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported.

The "Together against human trafficking" campaign is pursuant to the 2016-2021 National Strategy on Preventing and Combating Human Trafficking, said NCCPIM chairwoman Naela Gabr.

The national campaign aims to increase public awareness about all forms of human trafficking, Gabr said.

It also will urge citizens to report any activities related to human trafficking and will brief them on the legal penalties against traffickers.
