Airport police have arrested a man at Lebanon’s Rafik Hariri International Airport with counterfeit cash in his possession, Lebanon’s Naharnet reported Friday (July 20th).
The Lebanese man was arrested on Wednesday with 100,000 euros ($116,500) in counterfeit banknotes, the Internal Security Forces said Friday.
Ten packs of counterfeit money had been wrapped in carbon paper and stashed at the bottom of a double based suitcase, they said.
An investigation has been opened into the incident.
