Jordan court sentences 5 for promoting ISIS

Jordan’s State Security Court on Thursday (October 19th) handed jail sentences to five defendants for promoting the ideology of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported.

The sentences, issued in a public session of the court, range from one and a half years to three years.

The court reduced the sentence of one of the men, a university student, to give him a chance to reform himself.
