Ain al-Hilweh militant surrenders to authorities

An extremist commander in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain el-Hilweh near Sidon on Wednesday (September 27th) gave himself up to the Lebanese army, Lebanese media reported.

Fatah al-Islam commander, Hisham Shehab Khodr Qaddour, who is associated with the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), surrendered to Army Intelligence.

Earlier this week, the army carried out an operation in Ain el-Hilweh and arrested so-called ISIL 'emir' Imad Yassine in the camp.
