Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam on Wednesday (July 6th) performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Sacred Mosque in Mecca alongside Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and members of the royal family, Lebanese and Saudi media reported.
Tammam then attended a breakfast banquet that was thrown by the Saudi monarch, during which he "offered his condolences over the victims of the latest terrorist attacks that struck the Saudi cities of Medina, Jeddah and Qatif", Lebanon's National News Agency reported.
"Lebanon stands by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its battle against terrorism," Salam said, adding that terrorism "has no respect to the sanctity of any place or innocent lives and has nothing to do with Islam".
