Egyptian soldiers killed, injured in Sinai blasts

At least five Egyptian soldiers were killed and at least five were injured on Tuesday (May 31st) when two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) targeted an army patrol in North Sinai, Egyptian media reported.

The attack took place on al-Arish-Sheikh Zuweid road.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

"Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) affiliate Wilayat Sinai has claimed similar attacks on security personnel in the area.
