ISIS claims attack, beheadings in North Sinai

The "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for a Thursday (July 18th) suicide bombing in North Sinai that killed two people, and for beheading four people on Wednesday it accused of collaborating with the security forces, AFP reported.

The Thursday attack hit security forces stationed near a parking lot in the city of Sheikh Zuweid.

One member of the security forces was killed and three others were wounded, with a civilian also killed in the blast.

Egypt's military confirmed in a statement that a soldier was killed in the assault.

A day earlier, militants beheaded four civilians in the same area, medical and security sources said.
