The Saudi Interior Ministry announced Tuesday (April 23rd) that 37 Saudi citizens who were convicted of "terrorism" have been executed, AFP reported.
The executions took place in Riyadh, the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina, central Qassim province and Eastern Province, a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency said.
The men were executed "for adopting terrorist and extremist thinking and for forming terrorist cells to corrupt and destabilise security", the statement said.
