Egypt government offices set to relocate in mid-2020

All bodies of the Egyptian government will be relocated to the New Administrative Capital in mid-2020, Egypt’s Ahram Online reported Thursday (February 21st).

New Administrative Capital company chairman Mohamed Abdel Latif made the announcement during the signing of an agreement between the company and a firm that will transfer the technology of smart cities to the administrative capital.

Abdel Latif said the agreement includes setting up the first control centre with total investments of 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($85.5 million).

Electronic equipment will be provided for the centre at a total cost of $37 million, he said.
