2 suspects arrested in Lebanon on terror charges

Lebanon’s State Security Directorate in the South has arrested two Syrian nationals on terror charges, the National News Agency reported Wednesday (February 6th).

One of the suspects has admitted to having contact with a member of Ahrar al-Sham in Syria’s Idlib. The other admitted to having links to al-Nusra Front and to fighting alongside it in 2012.

Police found both suspects were illegally residing in Lebanon, as their residence permits have expired.
